
RideIt Non-Discrimination Policy

Applies to: All Riders, Drivers, and RideIt personnel
RideIt is committed to providing safe, reliable, and welcoming transportation for every member of the community. Discrimination of any kind is strictly prohibited on our platform.
This policy applies to all interactions, whether through the RideIt app, in-person, or through any RideIt-affiliated communication.
1. Zero-Tolerance for Discrimination
No Rider or Driver may be refused service, treated unfairly, harassed, or subjected to biased language or behavior based on:

Color
-
National origin
-
Ethnicity
-
Religion
-
Gender
-
Gender identity or expression
-
Sexual orientation
-
Disability
-
Age
-
Marital or family status
-
Pregnancy
-
Veteran status
-
Any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law
RideIt will take action up to and including account suspension or removal for any violation.
2. Service Must Be Provided to All Eligible Riders
Drivers may not:

Refuse, cancel, or avoid rides based on protected characteristics.

Cancel rides because a Rider’s pickup or drop-off is in a specific neighborhood associated with a protected community.

Treat Riders differently due to disability (including mobility devices, service animals, or communication needs). Riders may not:

Request Drivers of a specific race, gender, or any protected characteristic.
Treat Drivers differently, use slurs, harass, or behave in a discriminatory manner.
3. Service Animals
In accordance with the ADA and state law:

Drivers must accept service animals, regardless of personal preferences, allergies, or religious objections.

Attempts to refuse riders with service animals may result in permanent removal from the platform.
Non-service pets follow the driver’s discretion under RideIt’s standard pet policy.
4. Accessibility Expectations
RideIt works to provide equal access for riders with disabilities, including:

Riders using wheelchairs or mobility aids

Riders with visual or hearing impairments
-
Riders with cognitive or communication disabilities
Drivers must provide reasonable assistance, including:

Allowing riders extra time to board or exit
-
Assisting with folding wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids
Drivers may not refuse riders because of disability, unless the driver’s vehicle cannot physically accommodate a specific device and no safe alternative exists.
5. Harassment & Bias-Based Conduct
RideIt strictly prohibits:

Racial slurs

Sexualized comments
-
Mocking disabilities
-
Targeting someone’s gender identity
-
Political or religious harassment
-
Any form of intimidation or retaliation
Any complaint of discriminatory harassment may lead to immediate investigation and possible deactivation.
6. Reporting Discrimination
RideIt encourages users to report discrimination immediately through:

Emergency hotline (for active safety events)
All reports are reviewed promptly. Severe violations may result in permanent account removal.
7. Enforcement
RideIt may take any of the following actions depending on the severity and pattern of behavior:

Required training or education

Temporary suspension

Permanent removal of Driver or Rider accounts
-
Cooperation with law enforcement, if laws were violated
RideIt reserves the right to deactivate accounts without prior notice for serious discrimination violations.
8. Our Commitment
RideIt believes everyone deserves safe, equitable transportation. We strive to:

Train drivers on accessibility and anti-discrimination

Improve built-in app features that support safe and inclusive rides

Monitor patterns of behavior to identify concerns early

Partner with agencies and community leaders to ensure compliance
RideIt will continue to update this policy to reflect best practices, legal requirements, and community expectations.
