RideIt Customer Cancellation Policy


(Effective on 12/22/2025 for all RideIt rides


Customer Cancellation Policy


RideIt allows customers to cancel rides, but cancellation fees may apply depending on timing and driver status.


Free Cancellations

Customers may cancel a ride for free within 5 minutes after a driver has been assigned, provided the driver has not yet arrived.


Cancellation Fee

A $3.50 cancellation fee may be charged if a customer cancels more than 5 minutes after a driver has been assigned.


This fee helps cover operational costs associated with dispatching a driver.


When a Cancellation Fee Is Not Charged
 

A cancellation fee is not charged if:

 

  • No driver has been assigned

  • The driver does not arrive

  • The cancellation occurs within the applicable free cancellation window


Payment Method

All RideIt trips require a valid debit or credit card.

 

Cancellation fees, when applicable, are charged automatically to the card on file.

Additional Notes

RideIt reserves the right to waive cancellation fees in cases of system errors, emergencies, or service issues.

 

Repeated cancellations may result in account review or account restrictions.
